Feeling a little off-center? In this episode, we look at Ephesians 2 and what it means to rebuild with confidence by realigning to Christ as the Cornerstone. Learn how small drift happens, why identity reshapes direction, and how simple Bible study guardrails help you recalibrate without shame. If you’re tired of frantic rebuilding and ready for faithful alignment, this conversation offers steady encouragement and practical next steps rooted in grace and truth.

If you’re ready to trade frantic rebuilding for faithful realignment, you’re in the right place.

(In case I forgot to mention this week's challenge) Challenge: Choose one belief or practice this week and ask, Is this aligned with Christ as the Cornerstone? Don’t rush the answer. Open the text, check the context, and let Scripture square the line.

Feel free to grab that and get those guardrails. What are you waiting for? Anyway, today we are going to focus on rebuilding with confidence because rebuilding does not mean starting over, it means realigning to Christ as the cornerstone. Or, like I say, recalibrating. How many times have you had to recalibrate? You have to recalibrate your scales, you got to recalibrate all kinds of stuff. And sometimes you have to recalibrate yourself. I am not missing from that equation. Life happens. Um, if you have a family, if you have kids, if you have um a spouse, if you have a business, whatever you got going on, sometimes we just have to recalibrate. And so hopefully, this podcast will be a blessing to you and get you back on track as we are in March. Okay. So first I want to start with a little question. This question is something that I try to make personal, and I want you to ask yourself this. This is for you. No one's watching. I'm not here, I'm not in your room. It's just you and God, right? So you can be honest. But ask yourself: where have I been building slightly off-center from Christ? Maybe you've been distracted. Maybe, you know, the weather is breaking. Um, I'm in the Midwest in the USA. The weather is breaking, so maybe things you got, you know, you got stuff going on, maybe you got projects you got to do. Life, just be life in, right? And sometimes we can get slightly off-center. Is that you? Would you say that that's been your case? It's okay. Because now we can look at Christ and we can remember that Christ is the measuring point, he's the cornerstone that determines all the alignment. And sometimes when we realign and we recalibrate, if we're honest with ourselves and we can say it out loud, that's strength. That's not shame. It's nothing to be shamed about, shameful about. It is strength. That's why we have accountability. That's why we got Telegram group and our email lists and everything like that. And you might have your community because we build with one another. We are building, we are being built together. This is not alone. You ain't supposed to do this by yourself. I'm sorry. I know you think you're supposed to do this by yourself, but then that's not a part of the body. We are all one. We are going through the same thing, maybe in a different way, but we can relate. So, anyway, when we're looking at this, I want us to go to Ephesians chapter 2, starting at verse 20b. That just means the latter part of verse 20, where it says, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone, I'm going to continue reading, in whom the whole structure being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him, you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit. He is where we're supposed to point to. If you go and look at a couple verses around verse five, it says, even um when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive, he made us alive together with Christ. God made us let me keep let me go on a little bit before before that. But God, so verse 4, but God being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, talking about God, the Father, even when we were dead in our sins, made us alive together with Christ, by grace you have been saved, and raised up, raised us up with him and seated us with him in the heavenly places with Christ Jesus. Christ is the cornerstone. And though we were strangers, separated from Christ, alienated, He has merged us. I'm using this merge because I like that word. He's merged us, he's put us together with him. We are not strangers anymore, we are not aliens anymore. We are citizens with the saints and members of the household of God. That says that all in that chapter. I'm just kind of summarizing it for the sake of time. Because as we grow in Christ, this month I wanted us to really return to that sound foundation. And if you haven't read, I mean, have if you haven't listened to the podcast, I would encourage you to start at episode 122 because the month of March this month, I wanted us to return to sound foundation and we've built upon that. We've combed through the text, we've learned some of you may have learned some new terms and really grew a better understanding of how to apply scripture, how to zoom out so that you can zoom in. But now when we're looking at the bigger picture, sometimes you got to zoom out of the things that are going on in this world. This world is crazy and faulty and all kinds of stuff are going on as I speak. And sometimes you can feel like you're by yourself. You can feel like giving up. You can feel like no one hears you or no one cares. But Christ cares. And you are not alone, you are among a body of believers. Listen, we are all going through it together. But it's some but sometimes it's better to go through it together than to go through it alone. And we make Christ the cornerstone. When I look at the Christ thread, I'm reminded that he's the cornerstone. I'm reminded that, you know, I need to be recalibrated, and he recalibrates and aligns me back. I'm reminded of the dwelling place that rests on his shoulders. I'm reminded of our father who gave his son. I'm reminded of his love. And that's what I want you to be reminded of. That's why I do these things. That's why I say, hey, you guys, subscribe and follow, so that you can be a part of a community of believers that are growing alongside you, that will hold you accountable in love so that you won't do this alone. Because as you learn how to study the Bible and you learn the real, like the real text, you're gonna make a lot of people mad. Because that's just how it is, because people don't understand, or maybe they don't they think it's too much. They don't want to read the Bible, they want to be comfortable with whatever is going on, and that's fine because everybody has to go at the pace that they're able to go in. But I just wanted to extend this olive branch to let you know that you are not alone. Listen, if you need a prayer request or you just want to say hey, feel free to email me at hello at equipthenext.com. Don't force don't forget to subscribe for future episodes so that you can listen, listen in, comment, leave a review, just let me know you're there. But I always want you to remember and keep this in mind. I want you to grow in God's word, and I want you to lead boldly. Bless you.
